The installation of SPIRIT GARDEN, the result of a design educational workshop for children directed by Masayo Ave was exhibited at VENICE DESIGN 2018, the largest International Design exhibition running alongside La Biennale di Venezia hosted by the European Cultural Centre. In the historical heritage Palazzo Michiel facing the Grand Canal in Venice, the SPIRIT GARDEN was set up on the windows of the venue to express the joy of the new design education program, which cultivate children's sense of wonder through scientific design observation of nature found in their daily city environment.

国際芸術祭ヴェネチア・ビエンナーレに併設して、ヴェネチアの世界遺産建築パラッツォ・ミキエルにおいて開催された世界最大のデザインエキジビション Venice Design 2018 において、インスタレーション「SPIRIT GARDEN」が、阿部雅世の子供のためのデザイン教育活動のドキュメントとあわせて展示されました。6か月の展覧会開催期間中の来場者数は22万人を突破。その映像は、2018年11月12日から、中東のドバイで開かれたDubai Design Week 2018 、および、メキシコシティーで開かれたWorld Design Capital 2018 においても紹介され、阿部雅世が提案する新しい環境デザイン教育のあり方や、その学びの楽しさを、世界各国からの来場者たちに伝えました。 2018/11/26
